Even though I've been blogging since 2009, I haven't gotten super involved in the blogging world until recently. As I explained in my last post, I blog for me. However, I have met some fantastic women and I hope to be able to form stronger bonds and friendships with these women in the future. I joined a Houston blogger group on facebook and we meet about once a month just to hang out. We don't even talk blogging :) This month we're doing a picnic in the park! Fun times!
One woman from this group that I absolutely adore is Whitney from The Observant Turtle. I actually met Whitney through Delta Zeta and didn't even realize she had a blog until I stumbled upon it one day. I commented on her blog and I guess that started our "blogging" friendship. Whitney is also an advisor for Delta Zeta so I'm lucky that I get to see her fairly often (although I wish it wasn't just for DZ stuff). Her blog is always entertaining and some of her posts definitely get me thinking. I always look forward to logging on in the morning and seeing her new post.
So Whitney, cheers to you for helping me get more involved in the blogging community! Thanks sister!!!
