Almost 4 months!



WOW! It has been almost 4 months since I started working out. I can't believe I have stuck with something for so long. I don't think a week has gone by when I haven't worked out at least 4 of the 7 days and it is usually at least 5 days. I'm SOOOO impressed with myself. I haven't lost as much weight as I wanted to yet but I know if I stick with, it will eventually come off. On days when I don't get to go to the gym, I miss it (I NEVER thought those words would come out of my mouth).

So, here's to working out and feeling good!

Also, I've decided I want to start running. Tomorrow is day 1. My goal is to eventually (like a long way down the road) be able to run a half marathon. I'm hoping I can just run for 20 minutes tomorrow! I'll keep blogging about my progress (or lack of it)!

Sound of Music

Saw this video on and had to post it! I love the Sound of Music. It's my all time favorite musical and movie!

I am HOT!

So today at school, I was called HOT! It's quite a compliment and I haven to admit, I haven't heard those words in a while. The only catch was that those words came from the mouth of a 7 year old!

I think his exact words were- Miss Zarate, You look HOT! (and then he giggled and was very proud of himself). And no, he didn't mean temperature hot, he meant the other HOT! I couldn't help but laugh too. The things that come out of my students mouths are hilarious! Well, at least someone is thinking I'm looking good!

Man, I'm going to miss my students this summer. Speaking of summer, it's like 35 days away! YAY!

Spring Break 09 part 2

Well, since Spring Break ended over a week ago, I thought I'd post about the rest of my week. Once I got back from Houston, I did absolutely NOTHING! Actually, not quite. I cleaned, shopped, ate out, and just relaxed. It was so nice to get to go to the gym at 9am instead of either before work or after work. I would be so much more productive if I didn't have to work and could just work out and get things done all day.

My school started another round of the BIggest Loser Competition. We are going until the end of May so I've been working out like a crazy women. My goal is to lose 20 more pounds before August. I do have to admit that it is so hard to stay on track all the time but I've been pretty good. I just bought some new pants that were a size smaller because most of my clothes are too big now. I refuse to buy a new wardrobe until I'm closer to my goal weight so I'll just have to wear baggy clothes for the next couple of months.

I would post some more pictures of Spring break but I'm too lazy to go upstairs and get the cord. Maybe later!
