Mothers Day 2009

My parents and I celebrated Mother's Day this past Sunday. My brother had to work so it was just the 3 of us going to brunch. We went to the Baker Hotel in St. Charles for brunch. It was so good and I ate so much. I love going to brunch on holidays. Anyways, I am so grateful to have such a wonderful mom and I love her so much. She is not only my mom but my best friend. She has been supportive of me my whole life (even if she didn't agree with me). Lately, she's been particularly supportive with all the things I have going on but that's a whole new post that will be coming soon!

Here are a few pictures from my mom's special day!

Blackhawks Game!

On Tuesday, May 5, my dad and I went to the BlackHawks Game. It just happened to be a playoff game. It was so much fun! We got to sit in a suite and eat all the yummy food. The desert cart that came around was fabulous. I even got to meet Stan Mikita. I do have to admit I had no idea who he was but everyone else in the suite seemed to think it was a big deal. Turns out he used to play for the BlackHawks from 1958-1980 and he was really good. He was really nice and signed autographs and I even got a picture with him. The Hawks lost the game but they ended up winning the series and are going on to the Conference Finals! I never knew I liked hockey so much!
