Second (actually third) Date Update

In Houston, there is a radio station that does a segment called "Second Date Update." It's basically guys or girls that call in wanting the radio dj to find out why they haven't gotten a call back after a first date. I swear I'm going to end up on the show one day because I am horrible about this. If I don't click with a guy, I'm such a wimp about telling him so I just don't call/text back. I know! I'm a horrible person! I feel bad about it but I HATE confrontation so it's easier to just avoid. I try to give them hints if I know I'm not clicking with them on the first date but sometimes, they just don't get it. One time, I was nice and did tell a guy that I didn't think we were a good match and he told me to F*** off. I was appalled and maybe am still a little scared by his reaction.

So back to my dating life, I went on a first date with a guy. he was nice, we clicked, we agreed to meet again. I went out on date #2. I thought to myself, maybe this guy is the real deal. SO the next night, we agreed to go out again. He invited me over to his house so we could ride together. I was a little apprehensive but I figured I had to see where he lived eventually. I told one of my friends where I was going just in case I disappeared though. I show up at his house (45 min after the original time we had decided on because he wasn't ready) and he still wasn't dressed and ready. He answered the door in basketball shorts and a shirt. He invited me and said he still needed to get ready. I blew it off because I know most boys take 15 minutes to shower and get dressed. Wasn't a big deal. So I walk into his house and he has no furniture. In his living room, he had one chair that was clearly for the dog (slobber and toys were my evidence). I asked him if he had just moved in? Nope- he's lived there for a while. He invited me into his bedroom to watch TV while he got dressed. I politely declined and told him I'd just wait out in the living room. I proceeded to text my friend for the next 30 minutes while he got ready! 30 MINUTES!!! I couldn't believe it. He's 35 years old, has no furniture, and left me waiting in the no furniture room for 30 minutes.

At this point, I wanted to call it a night but I felt bad so we went out. Dinner was ok but I just couldn't move past the no furniture and making me wait thing. So now I'm avoiding his texts. I should probably say something but I feel really bad. Ugh... I guess I'll just keep on plugging along. Maybe the next date will be awesome!

WOW. I cannot believe that a guy would make a woman wait for that long! And no furniture? That's just sketchy....
